What is the best war/battle/shoot em up game to be played on a network???
Come on suggestions please!
Looking at Ghost Recon can anyone suggest better?
Thanks for any suggestions in advance.
Hmm you are looking for quite a few titles I think heheh.
Two that I would find fun playing on a LAN would be Planetside or Battlefield 1942. That is because I have seen the games in action online though.
Not normally the sort of game I would play, but a LAN is how those games become fun.
Of course those games become best fun with 10 plus people. Depends on the size of your LAN eh. BF 42 loses something when you have to few players.
If I ever had two machines, I would find playing Strategic Command or Steel Panthers a hoot, no problem with online hassles etc.
Really, just about any good game will be better on a LAN than over the net though.
A LAN would be all friends that were able to be all available same time. And that is essentially the attraction of online isn't it?
I have lived the world's dogma, that's why I know it's worthless.
If you are looking for some real hot tactical shooter action these are my recommendations (read: I play these with my friends on my home LAN and have fun !);
1) Any of the Rainbow Six Games ( the more recent the better)
2) SWAT 3 is just awesome !
3) Delta Force - the original - is still a blast with relatively low system requirements I also like Delta Force Land Warrior because because of the co-op play.
