Previously undiscovered evidence has surfaced which proves that that Germany and Japan had an active Lend/Lease program during WWII. In footage seen for the first time, we see a hulldown Sturm behind the root of a bonsai tree, defending a japanese dojo. This is actually my first ever model. I didn't bother painting or anything, I just wanted to get the hang of it. *edit* Here's maybe a little better view. This tank should be equipped with an Mg 42 but unfortunately it was destroyed by the clumsy hands of the factory workers
*edit* You may also note the large gap between the lower and upper hull at the front. Needless to say, the crew was seriously troubled by this oversight.

This is my 3rd model, a Jagdtiger but my first attempt at painting. This is pre-camouflage. I'll try that tonite. It actually went pretty well I thought. Not too hard but mentally exhausting. Especially painting the bogeys  The tracks are fuct I'm afraid. Why is it always so hard to get the tracks right? *edit* As you might notice, the tracks are so tight that they're actually pulling the sprockets outwards. this is a 1/76 model btw

What scale is the Stug? Solid tracks is not common with me. Tell me some about the parts and how you liked them.
This account for sale. You're just going to have to deal with conversing with me on properly administered forums. The 5% minority here is not worth it.

The Stug is a 1:72 Revell The Jagd is a 1:76 Matchbox. The stug has solid tracks along the top and bottom but the "curve" parts at the front and back are individual links that fit together (but only grudgingly) and are very frustrating to do with my fingers. I honestly think that 1:72 kits are harder than 1:35 kits despite having fewer parts. The Jagdtiger has rubber tracks which i thought would be easier but really arent. First of all the rubber seems to have warped a bit so they don't lay out perfectly flat. They also seem to be to small and therefore put to much pressure on the sprockets and idler wheels. Another problem that I have had with these one piece tracks is that the joint doesnt always hold when its under pressure ie. when you're trying to get it on, and you can always notice fairly easily where the joint is. But other than the tracks they're both pretty good kits. The Jagdtiger was particularly easy to put together because there's no turret so the upper part is one big piece, minus the gun and hatches. *edit* You'll notice on the pic of the Jagd that there's a particularly big space where track is joined together. Normally there's no space but because the track is stretched, it's pulling apart at the joints. That's just not on.

I have a 1/72 M3 Lee by Hasegawa that had as many parts as a 1/35 scale.

HUH??? Canuck - you can fix the track length thing by cutting off either the drive or idler sprocket and reglueing it a little further in so that the track is the right length - pretty easy to do, adds a bunch of satisfaction when it looks better after the fact too

Unselected pithy comment goes here.

Give me your critique please. I want to learn so I'd love advice. Just don't be too harsh, keep in mind that I haven't painted anything since I was a kid that wasnt a wall or a ceiling

The Matchbox Jagdpanther was the first AFV kit I built - strangely it had exactly the same problem, with the sprocket being bent over by the track. Presumably it's a "design defect" of that particular kit.
