Good to see you're still around, guys. Must admit I haven't much time for CC these days, but I am desperately trying to find time for Bloody Omaha as well as Karelia by Matsjoel.
And if I do find some sparetime during the coming winter, I may start working on a GJS vetmod. Always wanted to do that. But time will show.
What about you, Loz, what are you doing these days?
And final_drive, busy with the Bastogne mod?

Status : Online | TT...let me add my thanks to you as well. I still count myself among the diehard CC4 fans and players!! Got a GC going right now with Platoon Helmut. Those Panthers are awsome, as long as they have their frontal armor pointed in the right direction!!! My Allied opponent complains and howels loudly when his Shermans come out on the wrong side of an encounter.
Take care.
Ps. Never did get that interview for the newsletter done. Interested? Don't be overly modest now. Let know Platoon_Knight@hotmail.com

Hi TT,
Well I don't have much time for CC these days either. I gave Bloody Omaha a whirl last week and I'm enjoying the single scenarios. The GC keeps crashing for me though...
Recently went to the Panzer Museum in Munster, well worth the visit. All you have to do is convince your wife that it would be a great idea to spend a weekend rambling on the Lüneburger Heide and accidentally forget to mention a small museum that you might want to visit
They even have the Sturm Tiger from Sinsheim at the moment and its always nice to see a King Tiger!

Correct, TT, although njnjr23 is doing most of the hard work... Southern Land too joined in for map making. FFJean and I are there mostly for the data.
Some of the research I'm doing for the Bastogne mod will be usefull for Vetbob too. It mainly concerns German small unit organisations in the Bulge, which were sometimes surprisingly different from what we all perceive as regular.
As far as playing CC, that's been a while... Guess there's almost as many people making mods as there are playing the game.
Loz, I hope for the sake of your marriage there's something else to see on the Lüneburger Heide besides big cats!

Status : Online | Sothern Land; Matsjoel sent me a CD with the mod in May/June. I gave it a try and sent him a mail, but never heard from him again. Hopefully he'll be able to finish it.
"My Allied opponent complains and howels loudly when his Shermans come out on the wrong side of an encounter."
Platoon_Knight: That's the reason I dropped the H2H version this time, too many complaints about the "weak US" in the first week. What version do you play, original CC4, one of the earlier Vetmod versions or VetBoB? Anyway, thanks for the comments. And OK, send me the interview.
Loz; great pictures, would love to go there and see those big kittens! What else is there to see (for wife and kids) in the Lüneburger Heide and the area around?

Final_drive; Great, looking forward to see the info!

I guess you're right; 12 guys making mods and 13 guys playing them

Actually it's nice to see v1.12 compatible with the first version (v 1.1). I like the sound effects better in 1.12...or is that the reason why my Panthers are kicking Shermans aside?
Thanks for granting the interview. Now...where can I get the email address...? Not to worry, I'll find it.

Status : Online | I just downloaded your mod, Thanks TT for the updates, I appreciate all the work you do on these mods. I wanted to go to the Munster Museum when I was stationed in Germany but never made it. I hope to return to Germany someday and go there. I did get to backpack all over Bastogne and Belguim. I picked up a copy of After the Battle -The Battle of the Bulge and had a great time. We slept on the American defense line where there are still fox holes dug. The Bulgum people were great and treated us very well. I also made it to the Normandy beaches and hiked all over there as well. If you like seeing German armor The Patton Museum has a King Tiger along with several other Panzers and Alberdeen Proving grounds has a huge museum with even anzio anny (rail gun). I have been there 3 times so far.

Hmm, not much to do as such. It's just a great place for long distance trekking. There are some really attractive villages around Lüneburg and the town is itself ancient and well worth a visit. Dunno whether the kids would be so impressed though...? Could always leave them in the zoo whilst you sneak off to the museum. Munster is unfortunately not worth visiting for anything other than the museum, a dreary modern town with no character what so ever!
....I think I hear Bismark coming to lock this thread...!

Platoon_Knight, you''ll find my e-mail adress on my website.
Thanks for the tip, Loz. Guess me and the kids should have a fine time at Munster. As for my wife, well, I guess she just have to wait outside...
As for Karelia, I received a mail from Matsjoel yesterday, and he says he's prepared to struggle on. But if anyone volunteer to make maps, I think he will be very happy.

Thanks for updating my favourite game again.
I am a person that only plays the games and have no modding expertise what so ever so have plenty of time to play.
I reckon I have probably racked up more time on CC since the release of CC1 than any other person.
I have probably played CC Vetbob (my favourite) more that anyone else as well.
Have been playing Bloody Omaha a bit lately but all the other games except GJS are a bit lame compared to Vetbob.
I am living in Munich at the moment and would love to go and visit the Panzer museum at Munster. Could you provide me with the address or a link to their web site for same?
Thanks again.
Cheers
Alan.

The museum closes at the end of November and doesn't open again until March. The Tiger I will be returning to Saumur in France in December and I believe the Sturmtiger is also returning to Sinsheim, so I would recommend arranging a visit before the end of the month!

Anyway, I had to do some further changes on the Sounds file. You don't need to DL this latest one, but I recommend it
