Lava, what BF2 server do you usually play on? I have the 1.5 patch but have not found a server that appeals to me yet.

They are European... UK, Spain, Germany and France.  No real favorites right now, I just join low latency dedicated servers.

Problem for me is Spanish infrastructure is so poor that it is always difficult to find a good server where I ping less than 100.  On the bright side, a new company offering fiber optic cable is creeping its way in my direction...

More negative news on MP in this article posted on ars technica. Basically MW2 is a console game that will play on your PC with a max of 9 players per side.

In all seriousness folks, please if you are at all thinking of buying this as a PC game, take a few minutes to read the Ars Technica link above.

This is the kind of stuff that just makes you shake your head in disbelief.  Yes there are a number of features missing, and yes those are taken out intentionally, but what's worse is the cavalier attitude that the IW staff has towards its customers.  This smacks of either complete idoicracy or pure elitism.  Either way it doesn't bode well for the game or the gamers.

I for one will not be buying MW2, even though I thoroughly enjoyed MW1 and would likely get lots of enjoyment out of 2.  I'm not going to feed money into a company that is either really this stupid or this stuck up.

tbh, as I posted earlier, I didn't see the big deal with dedicated servers as an issue being as I was a casual gamer, but I did understand it from a clan or community pov.

Arctic Blast put paid to my questions and I see the issues.

Worse than that though?? The attitude of IW. When I've read their responses all over the net...it IS their cavalier and the couldn't give a crap attitude that has turned me. I WILL not have a company tell me I mean nothing to them and then hold out their hand for their £40!!

They want to smack down me, then good on them...but don't expect to see any of my money.

I re-installed about a week ago. Slowly building my rank back up again. :)
