Location : Hypothetical Opponents : RED vs BLUE Scale : Map Scale: 2.5 KM per hex Description : TACTICS RED / TACTICS BLUE Versions 3... OPART 300 Version Only 4/1/05 TWO GAMES IN ONE! (There are 2 scenarios, but one game) Date: WW2 Era Troops Location: Hypothetical Map Scale: 2.5 KM per hex Time scale: Full Week turns Unit Scale: Battalion (denoted as Squads) Length: 20 turns Unit Colors: RED Army VS BLUE Army The game is 100. Designed as fast moving, evenly balanced small scenarios, these two scenarios give the players a variety of tactics & strategy, troops, tanks & specialty units in a fight for the automatic victory. Each scenario gives the opening force (either Blue in TACTICS BLUE / or Red in TACTICS RED) the opportunity for an automatic victory once 100 points (or more) is achieved. As well each defending force (either RED in TACTICS BLUE / or BLUE in TACTICS RED) has the opportunity for an automatic victory once their opponents Capitol is taken or either of the enemy's HQs are destroyed. Designed with no variables, reinforcements or air units the games play with an even chance of victory. Corrections or additions made since version 1. 1. Game was originally made as PBM version but if played using OPART 300 PBL version, there were major game glitches. Now as either scenario will play in OPART 300 only, games play correct. 2. In old version, not wanting units to break down, I had put together 2 formations per side with ALL slots (32 slots per formation,..64 total) filed in each army so units would not break down/divide....The down fall with this was 2-fold...... 1st.....If one formation reorganized, 1/2 of all units on one's side, reorganized. 2nd.....It greatly limited the amount of units in the game as 64 slots (or 2 formations) worth of units was the limit. New version has all units denoted as Squads instead of Battalions.....Squads do not break down/divide......This freed me up to include as many units per side as needed....Also all units were now it's own formation. This additional plus was that: if a unit reorganizes, being the only unit in it's formation, it will be the only unit to reoganize within that formation. [My thanks to Felix for helping me find this answer I needed] 3. Addition was made that either side has a chance for the Automatic Victory per scenario....This adds a new dimension the the games. |
