This variant differs from the original as follows: order of battle includes Italian tanks and armored cars that existed in 1931 (the year of Omar Mukhtar's capture). The original had a variety of Italian AFV's from the 1930's. Troops of both sides have been repositioned and the map revised. General Graziani is tasked with leading the Italian colonial forces in Libya to find and destroy the Libyan guerrilla bases and forces led by Omar Mukhtar. Inspired by the movie "Lion of the Desert" starring Anthony Quinn as Omar Mukhtar, Oliver Reed as General Graziani, and Rod Steiger as the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini. Preferred side is the Italians. |
