Matrix Games today sent word that their WWII strategy title has gone gold.
Publisher Matrix Games announced today that Gary Grigsby’s World at War (preview) has officially gone gold. Developed by 2 By 3 Games, the game is now due for a final release sometime in March. Gary Gribsby's World at War is an in depth strategy title based on five playable powers battle across thirty-eight different countries with fifteen different unit types. With specific settings and options to "tailor" the level of difficulty to suit the player's liking, World at War is said to include a beautiful world map and detailed historical playing pieces. Each unit type has up to fourteen attributes, which you can upgrade through careful research of new technology during the war. Rules cover everything from strategic movement to cold weather, nuclear weapons, and even deal with managing supply lines in the advanced mode of the game. With a top-notch AI, Play-by-Email capability, and two in depth tutorials, World at War will make you a general in a day but keep you occupied year round.
