CDV today announced that their tactical RPG, Hammer and Sickle, has gone gold for PC. Slated to ship to stores and pre-orders on December 5, Hammer and Sickle places gamers in the role of a Soviet spy working to prevent a nuclear showdown between the world’s superpowers. Developed by Nival Interactive, is set in the spring of 1949 as tentions betwenn the USSR and US are quickly escalating into a high stakes espionage war. This is where the player is brought into the game as a Soviet spy assigned to an ultra secret mission to infiltrate the British-American controlled sector of Germany. Caught in both political struggles where no one can be trusted and a ever-thickening network of clandestine intelligence networks, the gamer will have to "navigate a web of intrigue and make decisions that could determine the fate of the world."
