Battlefront announced today the completion of Hubert Cater's Strategic Command 2, the follow-up to 2002's classically-designed game of the same name. This World War II grand strategy wargame presents Europe as a 2D isometric map, promising simple accessibility and easy play. The game will feature some six historical campaigns, including Poland in 1939, Denmark and Norway in 1940, Russia in 1941, Stalingrad in 1942, the invasion of Sicily by the Allies in 1943 or the epic beach landings of D-Day in 1944. In addition, Strategic Command 2 comes with 30 different nations that will have 16 different unit types at their disposal, including some new ones like Paratroopers, Engineers, Partisans and Amphibious Transports. For more information on Strategic Command 2, we recommend browsing the , or reading up on the game in The Wargamer's developer diaries. It can be pre-ordered now for $45.00 and should be released in a matter of weeks.
