Maxxing out the facilities and floor space of the Los Angeles Convention Center, last week's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) attracted some 60,000 attendees to this year's massive gaming convention. The convention - which is oriented towards professionals in the gaming industry including media outlets, retail buyers, and game developers and publishers - takes up every single inch of exhibitor space at the convention hall, where companies show off their new wares for the upcoming year. The three-day exhibit is buffetted by a convention and educational program, which featured some 175 guest speakers presenting on a series of topics to some 2,000 guests.
"E3Expo is the one and only venue where all of the world's leading interactive entertainment companies convene to launch the industry's next evolution," said Douglas Lowenstein, president of the ESA, the trade association that represents U.S. computer and video game publishers and owns E3Expo. "E3Expo remains the most important gathering of interactive entertainment industry professionals on the planet, offering attendees unparalleled networking and business opportunities."
E3 2007 will be held once again in the Los Angeles Convention Center from May 16 - 18.
