Now set for a July release.
Decision Games and SturmTiger Games gave gamers an update on the status of their upcoming board game turned PC game, the aptly named Computer War in Europe II. According to the most recent developer notes, the game has been pushed from a June release into July to finalize the graphics, interface, and game system. This new PC game is a re-working of the 1970s "monster" boardgame of the same name that was most recently revamped by Decision Games in 1999. The turn-based wargame is played with division-sized units and includes multiple campaigns (including +300 turns in the '39 - '45 campaign) from the Second World War as well as a number of more specific upgrades over previous iterations of the game:
- Enhanced Naval system
- Enhanced Air system
- Enhanced Diplomacy system
- Optional 'attrition' based combat/movement model
- User definable stacking limits (for custom designed games/scenarios)
- Optional Mobile Assault system
- Possible Research/Technology system
- Additional special/support units, such as Tiger battalions, engineers
- Enhanced Fog Of War option
- HQ/Leaders for command and control simulation
