Joel Billings over on the Matrix Games forums has the latest word on this WWII grand strategy title.
Lead developer Joel Billings has posted word on the Matrix Games forums that Gary Grigsby's World at War: A World Divided is nearing gold status and should be available by the end of this month.
Here's what he had to say: "Unless there is a hitch in the final production process, you should be able to buy it at the Matrix store before the end of this month." No release date has been set as of yet, however, though we can expect word from Matrix on this shortly.
Gary Grigsby's World at War: A World Divided is the sequel to original WWII grand strategy game it is based on, titled simply Gary Grigsby's World at War. A World Divided provides gamers with far more improvements and extra content than an expansion but does not quite reach the next level of revamping that would earn the title the right to be World at War 2. Apart from a greatly improved AI and new East vs. West Cold War scenario, gamers can see improvements in almost every aspect of the orginal World at War game: sigint and spies, unit models that continually upgrade as technology progresses, an advanced diplomacy model, and plenty more.
