On May 20, 1941 the landing operation on the Crete island has been started. The players group landed in the first echelon not far from Maleme where they and other paratroopers, supported by chasseurs, take control of the aerodrome, giving an opportunity of landing for the German air-crafts with reinforcements and ammunition in that way.
Ammunition was very vital for the success of the mission, survivers of the invasion reported that they only had left a couple of bullets and every real attempt of the Allies to counterattack would have been successful without supplies. Not only supplies but also German mountain troopers were sent as reinforcements through the captured airfield and made it possible to gain control over all of Crete.
