Kalypso Media announced today the release of the military-themed "Junta" DLC for Tropico 4 on the Xbox 360. Available for 400 MSP, players can expect these features in the DLC:

• New Building: “Bunker” - functions like a larger and more expensive Guard Station, does not require generals, houses five soldiers.
• Character Trait: Veteran (Avatar performs better in battle, improved militarist respect)
• Character Outfit / Vanity Item: Dress Uniform (female)
• Decorative Items: Guard booth, Small observation tower, Camouflaged ammo depot, Concrete barricades, APC
• Mission theme: “New Sparta” - build a militaristic society while being constantly pressured by the rebels

For those unfamiliary with Tropico 4, players take the role of El Presidente, ruler of the island Tropico. In the game, players can either be a tyrannical dictator or a benevolent ruler of the people, complete with objectives and missions to complete to bring the fledgling island nation on par with the world's superpowers. Players will have to elect ministers to help with making political decisions as well as keeping their people (or in line), but must also be wary of those ready to stab them in the back for control of the government.
