Slitherine and Matrix Games announced today the release of Battle Academy - Operation Sealion, the latest expansion in the critically-acclaimed World War II tactical game series Battle Academy. This expansion covers the hypothetical operation where Germany invades Great Britain.

In Battle Academy - Operation Sealion, the time is September 1940 and the Germans have begun their planned invasion. Players must command the Home Guard against German glider troops and defend the South Coast Sea Front against the invading troops. Players can mount "Butcher and Bolt" missions with clandestine Auxilary Units or land coaster raiders from Motor Gun Boats. It is up to the player to put a stop to Operation Sealion right here and now.

Battle Academy - Operation Sealion also releases with new features and content:

  • New British Units - Homeguard, Sticky Bombers, Guy Armoured Car, MkVI Light Tank, A10 and A13 Cruiser tanks, 4inch Gun Lorry, Armadillo Armoured truck, Boyes Rifle Carrier, Auxilliary Unit Commandos and snipers, and Motor Gun Boats
  • Ten varied single player missions - new "silent kill" attacks allow for clandestine stealth missions, while naval units allow raiders to be transported around coastal maps.
  • New 1940s British Terrain and Building set, complete with red postboxes and telephone kiosks.

Battle Academy - Operation Sealion requires Battle Academy to be played. For more information, visit Battle Academy - Operation Sealion product page. Be sure to check out part one of our AAR of Operation Sealion, mission one by clicking here!
