Slitherine, Matrix Games, and The Lordz Games Studio announced today that they have reached a publishing agreement with Noviy Disk to bring the World War II strategy game Panzer Corps to retail stores in Russia. After a successful North American and European campaign, with Panzer Corps reaching the top 20 on the German PC Game Charge, it only seemed like a matter of time to head to east.

JD McNeil, Chairman of the Slitherine group commented on the agreement, saying, “Slitherine/Matrix Games are always proud to support our developers and bring their games to a truly international market. We always aim to be a real commercial force behind their products. We will continue to maximize opportunities for our developers and market their titles worldwide and continue to seek further commercial opportunities across the globe.”

The critcally-acclaimed strategy game is known as the spiritual successor to the vaunted Panzer General series, and has been noted as a favorite by players and press alike, with Panzer Corps receiving 80% on Metascore with 85% User Score.

Panzer Corps has a demo available for those that want to dip their feet (or treads?) into the game, downloadable here. For more information on Panzer Corps, visit the official site on either the Slitherine page or Matrix Games page.
