The active modding community has been putting extra content such as new maps, mods, new units and other enhancements for the game at no extra charge.
Philip Veale, Technical Director at Slitherine, said "We aimed to make it possible to modify almost every aspect of the game, and yet the scope and creativeness of some of the mods out there still surprises us. Customized rules, new units and textures, even WW1 - we've got a great group of modders, as well as a wider community always happy to show their appreciation to the authors of this great free content."
