Matrix Games, Slitherine, and Henderson Field Designs announced today a major update for their critically-acclaimed World War II Pacific Theater mega-strategy game War in the Pacific - Admiral's Edition. The large and new comprehensive v.1.01.08r9 update contains a hundreds of fixes, tweaks and improvements, including several interface improvements.

War in the Pacific - Admiral's Edition is the result of years of development from a dedicated and experienced team, including subject matter experts and experienced programmers. It is the entire War in the Pacific down to individual aircraft, vehicles, ships, guns, and squads, all compiled from many sources for a high level of detail. War in the Pacific - Admiral's Edition also featured an improved AI and a more secure PBEM.

War in the Pacific - Admiral's Edition is a stand-alone release, which means it does not require War in the Pacific to play. Its installation will not overwrite the original War in the Pacific files either, but will instead installs alongside the original game and runs separately.
