Humble Bundle goes to war with new ‘War Gamez’ bundle

We don’t talk about Humble Bundle a lot here on Wargamer, although they do good work; selling packs of digital games for next-to-nothing, with the majority of the proceeds going to charity.

Rarely do you see them do a bundle that’d be relevant to our audience though… until now!

Our scouts have spotted their ‘War Gamez’ bundle. Granted, it’s playing hard and fast with the definition of a wargame but there’s some interesting surprises to be found none-the-less:

In the first tier, you essentially pay what you think the collection is worth. Regardless of what you pay, you’ll be able to nap yourself a copy of Panzer Corps’ base game as well as Panzer Corps: Allied Corps. They’ve also thrown in Insurgency, which is a military-themed FPS ad Mercenary Kings, a 2D side-scrolling action/rpg.

If you pay more than the average, which at the time of writing was $4.38, in addition to the above games you get Day of Infamy Deluxe Edition (WW2 team-based FPS), Gloria Victis (Early Access medieval open-world RPG) and 8-Bit Armies. This was released by Petroglyph last-year and is a retro inspired RTS that has surprising depth.

Finally, if you pay a flat out $10, you get all of the above as well as the digital deluxe edition of Rising Storm 2: Vietnam – another hardcore shooter.

To be fair, the most exciting prospect for us is probably Panzer Corps and the Allied Corps expansion, assuming you don’t already have it. We’ve covered shooter games here in the past though, so there’s other stuff that may be of interest.

The default charity for this bundle (although you’re allowed to choose your own) is the Comic Relief USA’s Red Nose Day. At the time of writing, the bundle will be live for another 13 days.
