Order of Battle Pacific swaps oceans in free Battle of Britain DLC

Tom finally gets Jerry

Last night, Order of Battle Pacific looked around at its tropical paradise, threw its piña colada to the ground and then stomped on the tiny paper umbrella that spilled out. To hell with this, the game exclaimed, then packed up and moved to cold, wet, clammy Britain.

An official DLC straight from the developers that Google Auto-correct loves to hate -- The Artistocrats -- the Battle of Britain scenario for Order of Battle is a generous helping of content. It's only the single mission, playable only as the Brits, but I fired it up at lunchtime and only managed to get about a third of the way through it. It's definitely an entire Saturday afternoon's worth of wargaming. To get it, fire up your copy of Order of Battle and click on the new crate that's appeared in the upper-right-hand corner of your main menu.

If you missed Order of Battle Pacific when it released earlier this year, it's a worthy successor to Panzer General. It offers more twists to that classic formula than Panzer Corps did, adding a supply system and unique attachable commanders. Some of the scenario design in OOB is pretty wicked, and offers a greater degree of challenge than I'm used to expecting from mid-weight wargames. I really loved 80% of it, and the bit I didn't like (the naval battles) wasn't all that bad.

Order of Battle Pacific is on Steam and available direct from publisher Slitherine. More screenshots from the new DLC below.

I can see my house from here.

You can tell this is slightly fictionalized by the clear weather over England.
