Another short and sweet update for you this week as the wargaming world slowly ticks over. I’ve been playing more 2GM Tactics to prepare for more articles, and Ian’s even been trying out the mobile app version, so look out for coverage on that.
Steam Summer Sale
It’s that time of year again where the prices drop and our wallets cry, except Steam keeps crashing because of the volume of traffic so we can’t buy anything anyway. Most companies are getting involved in the annual summer spectacular, even Slitherine. Search for ‘Slitherine Ltd.’ and you can see that 99% of their steam-listed titles are on sale, with games like Battle Academy & Qvadriga getting the biggest discounts of -75%.

Last week we alerted you to the fact that Matrix is bringing Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon to Max OS. We’re now here to tell you that this has now happened, as of June 20th. The main game plus all 7 DLCs can be purchased via the Matrix Store. Rejoice, heathens.
Legacy of the Weird Boy, the first major expansion for the rather excellent Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach, has been given a release date. You can enjoy playing as Da Orks and Big Redd in the brand new campaign on July 6th.
For those interested in The Operational Art of War IV, Matrix will be doing a gameplay stream of a couple of scenarios next Tuesday 27th, 11am CEST.
Hot on the heels of Steel Divisions first formal update – "And Just For All" – Eugen have announced a second update called "The Duellists". It will be landing next week on the 28th, and its main purpose is to offer some more balanced/dedicated 1v1 & 2v2 maps for competitive play. You can read more about the incoming changes here.

Star Wars: Armada
I haven’t managed to get in as much Armada time as I’d have liked recently- haven’t even tried out the Corellian Conflict Campaign expansion yet. Still, the game continues to evolve and change without me, so it’s worth keeping up to date on the latest developments.
FFG’s recent FAQ (Version 3.2.1) turns Armada’s Meta completely on its head, nerfing or otherwise re-defining several cards that were locking the game into a shallow pool of strategies. I won’t go into too much detail here, but for those of you interested in the changes you can read Fantasy Flight’s reasoning here.
