The big day approaches, bargain hunters. We're just a few days shy of Black Friday, and for the eagle-eyed, the discounts are already emerging. Take, for example, this heap of board games we spotted on Amazon US (Sorry, British readers). Each one of them has been tested by a Wargamer or made it into our personal collections, and each comes with a serious discount that's worth getting your eyes on.

Horrified: Dungeons and Dragons
Horrified, a long-running series of board game that pits you against media's greatest monsters, released a fresh standalone game in 2025. This time, you're tasked with taking on iconic beasts from D&D, the world's biggest tabletop RPG.
This is a highly thematic game filled with pleasing references for harcore roleplayers, as well as monster battles that'll satisfy regardless of whether you've played D&D. In our Horrified: D&D review, we noted that the game's simplicity won't appeal much to lovers of more complex games. However, as a family game or an easy ice-breaker, it has lots to love. And, at 30% off, the deal feels even sweeter.
Kingdomino
Another great option for families, Kingdomino comes with a kingly 40% discount right now. As the name implies, this is a tile game that takes a lot of inspiration from that age-old classic, Dominoes. The big difference here is that you'll be drafting and placing brightly-colored terrain tiles in order to create a thriving kingdom.
Kingdomino is quick to play and even quicker to learn, but it's satisfying enough to keep you coming back for more. You can learn more in our full Kingdomino review.

Dominion: Big Box
Dominion is one of those rare board games that, despite its age, is still one of the best in its genre. It's widely credited with pioneering the deck-builder board game, where you cycle through and gradually improve your personal deck of cards as the rounds go on. We've innovated plenty on that idea since Dominion released in 2008, but few other deck-builders have captured our hearts the way that the original has.
One of the biggest appeals of Dominion is its replay factor, and the Big Box version amps this up to 11 by offering additional cards. The hefty bundle is currently 29% off.
King of Tokyo Monster Box
King of Tokyo is a colorful, punchy board game about giant monsters that like to punch each other. Basically, you take on the role of legally distinct Godzilla and his kaiju buddies, each vying for control of Tokyo. Stomp your way in and stand your ground as long as possible to rack up points quickly, but beware your fellow beasts, who will swing at you with everything they have to try and establish dominance.
This game is light, thematic, and extremely entertaining. Even better, the Monster Box comes with multiple expansions, adding new monsters and additional cards. Even better, it's currently 44% off.
7 Wonders Architects
7 Wonders Architects is a simplified adaptation of one of our all-time favorite drafting games. Like the original 7 Wonders, you must build the most impressive civilization by developing their military might, scientific prowess, and a dazzling wonder of the world.
It's not quite as strategically rich as the original, but it's an excellent introduction to a board same series filled to the brim with outstanding entries. Plus, at 31% off, it's a gateway game worth checking out.
