<t>I purchased Civ 6 on sale, but refuse to purchase the next expansion which includes the dreaded culture city-flipping. Earlier this year I played Civ 1 -> Civ 6 and I think I'd rank them as <br/> Civ5, Civ2, Civ6, Civ4, Civ1, Civ3. One unit per hex is a great feature that eliminates the stacks of...

Been a PC wargamer for twenty five years and I have yet to play a human online in anything. I wonder if I am in the minority on this one? I suspect I am, however once I read in the article no single player I stopped and just glossed through the rest (well written article though).

<t>Worth noting that this game is a very close port of the original 1981 Avalon Hill Guns of August game (same designer). New artwork and maps but the majority of the rules are the same. The CRT was redone to make it a bit more bloody so that attacks would work better than the original version.<br/>...

I'm sure others will also chime in that some other popular entries and easy to find titles are Balance of Powers, Empires and Alliances, Guns of August and Lamps are Going Out. These have a strategic entire war view and can all be had for $70 or less used and sometimes new. Nice article.

<t>Wow nice article!<br/> I have been tinkering with both Vassal and TTS the last few weeks wondering if some of the titles I enjoy on Vassal would run well on TTS. I tried out Age of Napoleon which has low counter density. It worked out ok but the picking up of pieces and placing is vastly differen...

<t>I've been a pc strategy gamer from back in the days of playing Avalon Hill's Civil War, Wooden Ships and Diplomacy all on the C64 and have never been a huge fan of shooters but I remember being absolutely stunned at the representation of D-Day with Medal of Honor Allied Assault on my PC when the ...
