It's been a while since we've done one of these, so let's take a look at what's been happening in the world of table-top wargaming recently.

It's a card-based WW2 boardgame focusing on supply, and played at the theatre level. Very abstracted in terms of combat and units, but there's a very fun dynamic in the sense that the allies are all on the same team, but they can't show each other their own cards.

It scales to fewer players as you control more national decks, and the more decks under your own personal control the more planning you can do, so it the gameplay experience can vary widely. I'm very much looking forward to playing it!

They don't like WW2 games in your home?

No. Madison is too liberal. I'm a strong Democrat but am considered very right-wing in my neighborhood. The university has a wargame club but the kids are too geeky for me. When I was their age, I spent my weekends with women, not pushing cardboard. There is a strong miniature group but my disability prevents me from truly playing.
