Wed Jul 04, 2018 3:51 pm

As the 100th anniversary of World War I arrives, so does our series of compendium articles listing what would-be Foch’s and Hindenburg’s can requisition on the conflict for wargaming.

It's "Too Fat Lardies" and it doesn't take much of a clue. The founding authors/designers are big into British cuisine and cooking lager, so they tend to the husky end of the scale. They also produce a second set of WW1 rules called "If the Lord Spares Us" that is for brigade to division sized actions, as well as a "Triumph of the Will," which among other things covers the Russian Revolution and the Spartacist Revolution.

Bill there will be a bunch of TFL games at Historicon put on by the Lard America group. Not the WWI games rather mostly WWII, "Chain of Command", IABSM, and their new set "What a Tanker" (1:1 tank skirmishes). There is a designated set of tables in Distelfink for our games. I'll be running "Kiss Me Hardy" Napoleonic naval on Friday morning.
