Yes, William Tecumseh Sherman was right and "war is hell", regardless of when in time it happens, but something about laser guided munitions and modern tanks ups the ante for... ... war-games/

From what I've seen so far, I think on November 15th you will need to add Armored Brigade to this list.

Hopefully Combat Mission Shock Force 2 will be worthy, but CM:BS is pretty much the same.

Eugen had listened to it's player base and has implemented many great changes into Steel Division II (army general mode, smart orders etc.) It would be great if they made another cold war (or modern war) game with all those improvements.

There is also some good Tiller games:

- Danube Front '85
- North German Plain '85
- Fulda Gap '85

The last two even had decent ports to mobile phones.

Fortnite did not stem from Arma, it was the result of an internal competition at Epic Games. You probably mean Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, or PUBG for short. That one was an Arma mod (as was DayZ).
