Ah, Napoleon. That man among the finest of generals, Frenchest of French, and mediumest of a height lineup.

Waterloo: Napoleon???s Last Battle and Austerlitz: Napoleon???s Greatest Victory are a bit older but are two excellent games based on the Sid Meier???s Gettysburg engine.

L Empereur is my favourite. Kind of Total War but turn based, with battles on little hex maps. Also, what about March of the Eagles, AGEOD game(s), Fields of Glory with it's awesome database of unit histories?

Crown of Glory was also nice, though buggy.

There are a few older titles from AEGOD out there - Napoleons Campaigns and Wars of Napoleon. Campaigns on the Danube is another Matrix title. Tiller's Battleground series as well. Victory and Glory from Slitherine.

New ones coming soon include Ultimate Admiral Age of Sail which feature naval battles and landing actions. There is Naval Action an mmo for napoleonic naval battles. Waterloo 3d is in testing.

I get the point though, compared to other eras the selection is limited.

Victory and Glory (https://store.steampowered.com/app/4430 ... _Napoleon/)

March to Glory (http://www.matrixgames.com/products/product.asp?gid=710)

A couple others at Matrix (just click on Napoleonics there)

Really the John Tiller series has always been the main thing.

Although way back in the day, Battles of Napoleon on C64 was pretty awesome. Sometimes cavalry charges went nuts and took on a life of their own. (https://www.mobygames.com/game/c64/battles-of-napoleon)

Playing Ultimate Admiral: Age of Sail right now, as a matter of fact.

OMG, I never thought in a million years I'd see someone recognize L'Empereur. That game was one of the highlights of my childhood. 100% agreed.

Loved it dearly. I even made a tool in Turbo Pascal that could be used to change general skill levels and replenish units.

edit:
To this day I remember a desperate battle where I had lone artillery unit at full strength led by Napoleon defend in winter in Copenhagen (I think), where some 10 Russian infantry units have landed, and I've managed to rout them all by breaking ice.
