Bill: I am awaiting my Kickstarter order of Oak & Iron. The last update had the US orders landed passed customs and on the way to the warehouse. Good news indeed.

Computer games score in that they usually include an opponent, the AI. Board and miniature games score in that their designs are open to manipulation, adjustment and bending. It's a great pity we can't have both.

Campaign for North Africa is one of the few SPI WWII games I do not have. I found the supply system quite intimidating. I understand "need to be on drugs to play", but more importantly your opponent must be too.

Then it's "Board Wargames 2020"

And finally, it's "Miniature Wargames 2020"

Wargame is one word. Also it's not an adjective.

I believe the Boss, Editor Joe, made those changes from my original text. I've always written it as "wargame" though my MS Word spell check always says its wrong.

AND TO BE FAIR. . . Oxford Dictionary: war game, war game, Merriam Webster: war-game, Free Dictionary: war-game, MacMillan and Collins and Cambridge Dictionaries: war game aaaaaaaaaaaaaand (wait for it) Wikipedia article: Business War Games.

Maybe we should say Conflict Simulation  ?

Oxford Webster...Free Dictionary...MacMillan and Collins and Cambridge Dictionaries...
Everyone loves a pedant so
Now I'll play that well-met role
To pass this useful knowledge on along:
Merriam-Webster is solely the
Principal published authority
On our American English lexicon.

Love it or hate it—
Cold or hot react—
Believe it or not—
Took or left, It's a fact.

There is no English Academy.
The rules are not objective.
You will serve self and others best
When Merriam-Websterwardly selective.
