These are just repackaged games without any real AI upgrades for the last 20 years

Remember the old Talonsoft stuff way back in the day ?? the AI has not changed from those times.

I play single player so AI must be ok to good...
Now a Good AI (not great) was SSI -- Battles of Napoleon, Breakaway games -- Austerlitz Nap Greatest Victory and Breakaway Games -- Waterloo.
