If you've been curious about Loot Studios' Malediction, a curious and aesthetically gorgeous mix of miniature wargame and deckbuilding card game, we've got the perfect chance to learn more, direct from its creators! Loot Studios' Head of Games Fabio Cury is joining us live in Discord to answer your questions about all things Malediction, and what's coming to the game next in 2026!
We've had our eye on Malediction ever since it was first announced in late 2024, because it's a very unusual beast. A 3D printer supported skirmish wargame, that's also a deckbuilding card game, that also kind of works as an out-of-the-box board game? That's a spicy meatball, we thought, and could be a contender for our list of the best miniature wargames ever, if they, ahem, play their cards right.
Since then, Malediction has raised over $700k from backers on Gamefound, and now has four playable factions and many glowing reviews under its belt. So we thought it was about time we invited them to our nerd treehouse to talk about what's happening in the game, and where it's going next!
Our live video AMA with Loot Studios starts at 11.30am ET / 8.30am PT / 4.30pm GMT on Tuesday, December 16, in the Wargamer Discord community
If you're not yet a member, this is your reminder to join Wargamer's free Discord community! We're nearly 4,000 strong now, with daily discussions going on across the tabletop games world, regular giveaways, and live AMAs like this with game creators every single week.
This particular AMA is going to be a superb opportunity for those who've so far watched Malediction from the sidelines to find out whether it's the game for you, direct from the horse's mouth. And, for folks already playing Malediction, here's your chance to grill Fabio Cury for hints about any possible expansions and new content coming in 2026!
So far, Malediction has four playable factions: the faith-driven paladins of the Order of the Shattered Throne; the undead Legion of the Fallen; the achingly MTG blue-coded, magic wielding Conclave of the Spheres; and the Primal Blood, who are all about hyper aggressive melee fighting.
But, right from the outset, Loot Studios has promised new expansions every year. So as we approach the game's second year of life, all eyes will be on Cury's team to see what's coming next, when, and just how damn cool it might be. This live AMA might be your chance to be the first to find out - so jump into the Wargamer Discord now to make sure you can be there!
See you all tomorrow, friends! It's going to be a good'un!
