Want to get some Pokémon cards from the coveted 151 set? Sam's Club is putting bundles of mini tins from this Pokémon set on sale later today (Tuesday, December 9), selling them in batches of ten.
The tins, which each include two booster packs of 151, are going for $80 for ten. Which is not just below market price, it's below MSRP as well. The mini tins are priced at $10 from the Pokémon Center (where they're perpetually sold out, of course), so you're already saving yourself $20 on this deal. But when you factor in the fact that nowadays these 151 tins usually sell for around $25 each according to TCGPlayer the deal looks even rosier.
The only catch is that you'll need a Sam's Club membership to participate, and these typically sell for $50 per year.
If that's a hurdle you're willing to jump, you need to know that these tins go on sale on December 9, 2025 at 10pm CST / 8pm PT at Sam's Club. The paywall and a buy limit of two per person may go some way to dissuading bad actors, but I wouldn't count on it, so fingers on buzzers and pack your bot spray to hopefully get in before the clankers nab everything.
It goes without saying that 151 is, of course, a fantastic release. It's incredibly nostalgic, with beautiful treatments of the first generation of Pokémon. That said, the biggest rare Pokémon card from this set, the famous SIR Charizard is looking pretty unstable right now. This Charizard Pokémon card has pinballed from $165 in July this year, to $270 in October, to $210 this month.
But even if the chase cards aren't as hot as they once were, we still expect this deal to be highly sought out. We don't know how much stock there'll be, but chances are good it'll run out quickly. Lucky for you, you were warned ahead of time, eh?
