If I told you that you could get packs of Pokémon Destined Rivals, Mega Evolution, Phantasmal Flames, and more in one collection - at retail price - you'd likely laugh. However, the Pokémon Mega Charizard X EX Ultra-Premium Collection is very real, and it's coming soon. If you want to get 18 packs of some of 2025's biggest expansions, you'll want to find it, and here's where to place your orders.
As far as the best Pokémon packs go, stock is few and far between. Shelves lay empty, dust settling, waiting for new products to arrive. Destined Rivals? Gone. Mega Evolution? Prices hiked. Even Journey Together, which has recently settled and started dropping in price, is hard to find at retail, and it's been a hard year for fans of the Pokémon TCG like me.
We can't control the prices or stock issues of this year's Pokémon sets, but you can find them at retail price if you're focused enough. While a lot of eyes will be focused on Pokémon Center ETBs or booster boxes full of packs, this upcoming collection for the holiday season may go under the radar, and that's a better reason for you to focus on grabbing it.
The Pokémon Mega Charizard X EX Ultra-Premium Collection is a ridiculously long title for a product, but it's also an excellent chance to get some of the best Pokémon cards of the year without spending money on above-market booster packs. With a massive total of 18 boosters, ranging from a couple of Surging Sparks to the newest Pokémon set in November, Phantasmal Flames, this isn't one to skip on.

That means you've got chances to score Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex #231 from Destined Rivals, or the two Hyper Mega Rare cards that are leading Mega Evolution as the most expensive Pokémon cards in the expansion. While I don't believe you should buy mixed boosters for a specific chase, if you're just happy to collect any cards (like me), this is a solid opportunity.
Different storefronts will present marginally different prices, but based on the previous Ultra Premium Collection, I'd expect this Mega Charizard X EX collection to set you back around $119.99 / £124.99. Pre-orders are starting to appear, but it doesn't actually release until Friday, November 14, 2025, the same day that Phantasmal Flames launches. As such, I'd recommend bookmarking the previous pages in the hopes of scoring it closer to the time:
There's also a bunch of other goodies for that price, too. Alongside the 18 packs, you'll also get Mega Charizard X card sleeves, a playmat featuring Mega Charizard X, a deck box also featuring the 'zard, and a metal coin - strangely enough, also featuring Mega Charizard. So, a lot of cool bonuses that are a nice little extra for the packs, which remain my main focus, too.
If you're keen to find more packs from the one of the best trading card games, and you're struggling to get Pokémon at retail or at least below market price, I'd recommend joining our Wargamer Discord, where you can chat with fellow trainers or be kept in the loop for any sudden deals that pop up.
