Five classic Star Wars Legion kits are finally coming back, from Droidekas to Airspeeders

Asmodee has listed a slew of returning kits for pre-order for Rebel Alliance, Galactic Republic, and Separatist Star Wars Legion armies.

A new wave of repackaged Star Wars Legion kits has appeared on the Asmodee webstore, giving generals new and old a chance to expand their forces. As a massive fan of The Empire Strikes Back I'm pleased to see the T-47 Airspeeder model there - but there's considerably more for the Clone Wars era, with three re-released Droid units and one for the Galactic Republic.

Star Wars Legion is in a peculiar spot as far as miniature wargames go. The game completed its transition to a revised ruleset early this year, and launched four fantastic value army starter sets in late fall and early winter. But before publisher Atomic Mass Games put repackaged versions of existing kits with updated rules cards into production, it let them go out of production.

That let game stores could sell through their old stock, but left many units inaccessible to new players. So while there's never been a better time to get started in the game, at least from the perspective of buying a starter army, new players have relatively constrained options for expanding their armies. The following five returning units have appeared on pre-order on the Asmodee webstore, and will be on sale on February 13, 2026.

  • Rebel Alliance - T-47 Airspeeder - $39.99
  • Galactic Republic - Clone Commandos - $29.99
  • Separatist Alliance - Super Tactical Droid Commanders - $34.99
  • Separatist Alliance - IG-100 Magnaguards - $39.99
  • Separatist Alliance - Droidekas - $34.99

This follows on from a previously revealed wave of releases coming on January 16:

  • Galactic Republic - ARC Troopers - $54.99
  • Galactic Republic - TX-130 Saber Tank - $69.99
  • Separatist Republic - AAT Battle Tank - $69.99
  • Rebel Alliance - Cassain Andor, Jyn Erso and K-2SO - $34.99

With this and the previously released A-A5 Speeder Truck, over half of the game's biggest units will be back in production early in the new year. The major exceptions are the Separatist Droid tank, and both of the Empire's heavy hitters, the TX-225 GAVw Occupier, and the classic AT-ST walker.
