Some Disney Lorcana Elsa cards are the prized possession of TCG collectors, while others are valued parts of a competitive deck. You might seek an Elsa Lorcana card to invest in part of the game’s history, or maybe you just love new art of the Frozen star.
Whatever your reasons, we’ve got a complete guide to the best Elsa cards in Disney Lorcana. Below is a record of every one, including the most expensive Lorcana cards featuring Elsa, and every Lorcana promo that adds variations to the regular cards. We’ll keep adding new entries as each Lorcana set brings us new Elsas.
Elsa, Snow Queen
One of the first Lorcana Elsa cards.
Set | The First Chapter |
Ink color | Amethyst |
Estimated value | $0.14 |
- Lovely art, as seen in lots of marketing
- An affordable card for budget collectors
- Not much competitive value for players
- No real financial value for ambitious collectors
Elsa, Snow Queen was in a lot of promotional media for The First Chapter, Lorcana’s debut set. It was also the first Elsa to get a promo card (though more on this shortly). If you’re a completionist after every Elsa card, there’s no better place to start.
Anyone collecting purely for sentimental reasons should grab this one. It’s cheap, and it comes with an iconic version of Elsa that’s sure to be remembered as Lorcana grows. It’s not worth much money, though, and that’s not likely to change. Nor is it particularly powerful for play.
Elsa, Snow Queen (D23 promo)
The most expensive Lorcana Elsa card, by a long shot.
Set | D23 Expo |
Ink color | Amethyst |
Estimated value | $5,000 |
- A rare and valuable card, prized by collectors
- The same high-quality art as its original version
- Hard to find and expensive to buy
- Still not worth playing in competitive decks
The D23 Expo Elsa, Snow Queen is far more famous than its regular version. In fact, it’s one of the most expensive Lorcana cards, period. It was one of the first Lorcana cards revealed at the official Disney fan convention in 2022, and it comes with a unique D23 stamp on the bottom of the card. Only D23 members attending the con could nab a copy.
The scarcity of the card and its rare stamp are behind most of its value. It also helps that Elsa is one of the most beloved characters in the Disney roster – her promo far eclipses the value of other D23 promos.
Elsa, Spirit of Winter
The best Lorcana Elsa card for competitive decks.
Set | The First Chapter |
Ink color | Amethyst |
Estimated value | $14.82 |
- Appears in some of the best Amethyst decks
- Wonderful art that feels authentic to the character
- Still an achievable price for budget collectors
- Only foils have major financial value for ambitious collectors
- Value may drop when the meta changes
The best-rated Amethyst decks often have a few copies of Elsa, Spirit of Winter up their sleeves. She’s got fairly beefy Strength and Willpower, and she can quest for a tasty three lore per turn. Shift 6 gets her on the board slightly faster, and the ‘Deep Freeze’ ability keeps two opposing characters exerted.
Naturally, power equals a bigger price tag. Spirit of Winter will never reach the heights of the D23 Elsa – and the price may go down if the meta stops favoring the card – but it’s worth a decent amount as far as trading cards go. Foil versions are worth even more.
Elsa, Spirit of Winter (Enchanted Rare)
An alternative Lorcana Elsa card that fans dream of pulling.
Set | The First Chapter |
Ink color | Amethyst |
Estimated value | $778.37 |
- Gorgeous and glittering
- Still a powerful card for meta decks
- High in value and likely to stay that way
- Hard to find and expensive to buy
- You might not want to risk damaging this with play
A few lucky Lorcana players will get to pull an Enchanted Rare, a foil borderless version of their favorite card with new art and a super rare pull rate. The even fewer lucky few will get to pull the Elsa, Spirit of Winter Enchanted Rare. Like other rare Elsa Lorcana cards, the combo of a cool character and scarcity creates serious demand.
The card has all the same abilities as its original version, so you could still play this in your top-tier Amethyst deck. Damaging it could cost you hundreds of dollars though – if you find one, we suggest you sleeve it and store it very carefully.
Elsa, Gloves Off
The least valuable Lorcana Elsa card.
Set | Rise of the Floodborn |
Ink color | Amethyst |
Estimated value | $0.03 |
- An affordable card for budget collectors
- Features art inspired by Frozen 2
- Not much competitive value for players
- No real financial value for ambitious collectors
One card has to be at the bottom of the pile, and in this case it’s Elsa, Gloves Off. It’s not our favorite artwork, and it’s not got much of a presence in popular decks. With no rarity to boost its desirability, the financial value is naturally pretty poor. If you loved Frozen 2, though, it’s worth collecting for the warm fuzzy nostalgia.
For collectors without thousands to spend, a card that costs next to nothing can be a real plus. And for those who do want to invest, there’s always the other version of this card…
Elsa, Gloves Off (Alternative Art)
A stunning yet affordable Disney Lorcana Elsa promo.
Set | Disney100 |
Ink color | Amethyst |
Estimated value | $9.58 |
- A big improvement on the art of the original card
- Semi-rare promo that’ll interest collectors
- Still an achievable price for budget collectors
- Still not worth playing in competitive decks
If you weren’t swayed by Elsa on a horse, The Disney100 Elsa, Gloves Off promo gives you new, shinier art instead. It’s one of many cards from a limited edition set that celebrated Disney’s grand centenary. The product is still in stock in some places, and the single card comes at a reasonable price, despite its exclusivity.
This is an Elsa card for everyone, collectors rich and not-so-rich. We still wouldn’t put the card in our favorite Amethyst decks, but we would sleeve it and display it.
Elsa, Queen Regent
The most unremarkable Elsa Lorcana card.
Set | The First Chapter |
Ink color | Amethyst |
Estimated value | $0.07 |
- An affordable card for budget collectors
- Great art of Elsa’s original Frozen costume
- Not much competitive value for players
- No real financial value for ambitious collectors
Elsa, Queen Regent is a Lorcana card with zero special abilities. Zilch. Zip. Jack squat. It only quests for one lore, too, and its cost and stats are nothing to write home about. This is a perfectly average Lorcana card – with admittedly lovely art.
Lorcana isn’t set in one established Disney universe, so it has the freedom to put its characters in new situations, outfits, and styles. But Queen Regent keeps it old-school, showing off Elsa’s classic dress from the first Frozen movie. If that floats your boat, pick one up while they’re cheap.
Elsa, Ice Surfer
The first Ruby Elsa Lorcana card.
Set | The First Chapter |
Ink color | Ruby |
Estimated value | $0.04 |
- Art of Elsa like we’ve never seen her before
- An affordable card for budget collectors
- Not much competitive value for players
- No real financial value for ambitious collectors
Dreamborn cards reimagine Disney’s characters in new forms, and Elsa, Ice Surfer gives her frosty powers a whole new purpose. The card’s art and ink color are both unique, as all other Elsa cards have been Amethyst so far.
Despite these standout features, this isn’t a particularly prized Elsa card. That’ll be down to how common the card is, as well as its relative weakness for play. ‘That’s No Blizzard’ is an ability that requires you to play cards featuring Elsa’s sister Anna – and there aren’t many strong options for doing so.
