Following its successful launch for the Xbox 360, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter (
preview) will now attempt to recreate this success with a PC release in a few weeks' time. Ubisoft announced on late Tuesday the completion of this new modern military first-person shooter, the latest game in a long-running franchise of Tom Clancy games. Advanced Warfighter takes place a few years into the future, when military equipment and outfits have changed dramatically to incorporate new mobile technologies into a soldiers' uniform. Players in this new FPS command a squad of special forces known as the Ghosts, who must operate within Mexico City's sprawling urban land mass during an attempted coup of the government. As with previous Tom Clancy games, this new title will feature authentic weaponry, squad control, and gameplay oriented towards a tactical mindset.
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter will hit stores on May 3rd, priced at $49.99. For more on the game, be sure to check out the newly released high-resolution game trailer available from the
